Light Truck and SUV Tires

These days, many smaller SUVS and pickups use standard passenger car sized, or low profile tires. So depending on your vehicle, your tires might actually be covered in the Passenger and Low Profile Tire section. In this section, we will look at the tires we stock and recommend that are made specifically for pickups and SUVs. Even though these range from standard load to load range E, the truck/SUV tires tend to be stronger, and there are more aggressive tread designs available.

For the tires we keep in stock, there are three main categories: The more economical tires, usually with less aggressive tread designs, the higher mileage all season tires, and the all terrain tires. There are also the mud tires with the very aggressive tread designs, and a hand full of tires that are in between the mud and the all terrain. So we will look at them in these groups:

• Economy Truck/SUV tires
• Higher Mileage All Season Truck tires
• All Terrain tires
• Mud Tires and “In Betweens”
